May & June Selection

I hope those of you participating in the 2007 Book Club have already obtained your copy of this month's read. As you know, we have split David McCullough's Truman between two months. Don't be daunted by the nearly 1,000 pages. It's an interesting read and the biography covers a wide range of American history. I'm very interested to hear what you think and hope you'll take time to meet up with me for the Book Chat on May 31 at 3pm ET.

Note: Because the book is divided between two months the book reviews will not be due until the week after our final chat in June. However, it might be a good idea to start taking notes while you read the book, not only because it is so long, but also so you will be able to remember the earlier parts of the book when you reach the end.

And for those who wish to read more on this President here are some other books to consider:

As a side note, for those interested here are some other great books written by Margaret Truman, President Truman's daughter.

I've read the latter, which was very interesting. It's a book dedicated to the history of the White House with lots of inside details and some great pictures. I hope to read the former sometime soon, but probably not till after I finish Truman.
